The Glade Creek Grist Mill, located in Babcock State Park, West Virginia, is a fully functional replica of Cooper's Mill, built in 1976 using parts from three historic mills in the state. Although not original, it honors the state’s milling heritage and serves as a working piece of history, grinding cornmeal with water power. As one of West Virginia’s most photographed sites, it’s especially stunning in autumn, framed by vibrant fall colors and the rushing waters of Glade Creek, making it a beautiful and nostalgic tribute to Appalachia’s past.
