Maui, known also as “The Valley Isle,” is the second largest Hawaiian island. The island beloved for its world-famous white and black sand beaches, The Road to Hana, endless waterfalls, and the magnificent sunrise and sunsets from Haleakala Volcano. With so many beaches to choose from to visit for a relaxing day in paradise or to catch a classic colorful Hawaiian Sunset you can't go wrong ,but the beach know to locals as "Secrets Beach" or "Secrets Cove" screams Hawaii and is a favorite location for Nature photographers like myself, people looking to get married ,engaged or just relax for the day to soak up the sun.Secrets Beach sits along the Western side of the Island just south of the town of Kihei. Its a small beach with endless beauty as you look off in the distance at The Famous Molokini Crater and Kaho'olawe Island.

INSPIRATION

Aloha! My name is Nick Selway, and my journey with photography is deeply rooted in my lifelong love for water. Growing up on a small lake in Northern Washington, I was always drawn to its tranquil beauty. As a child, I was fortunate to visit Hawaii often, especially Maui, where the aqua-blue oceans and pristine white sand beaches captured my imagination. These early experiences sparked a fascination that would later become my life's work.

For the past 20 years, I've been a full-time photographer, sharing my passion through galleries in Hawaii, Colorado, and now Scottsdale, Arizona. My Limited Edition Nature,Landscape 7 Ocean Photography has found homes with collectors from all over the world. During my 14 years living in Hawaii (2004–2018), one of my most treasured spots to photograph was "Secrets Beach" in Maui. This serene location provided me with countless opportunities to capture its incredible beauty during vibrant sunrises and sunsets. For many, Secrets Beach holds a special place as a reminder of unforgettable vacations, engagements, or weddings, making these images popular among fine art collectors.
