Hawaii has always held a special place in my life. For 14 years, I called the Big Island home, spending countless hours exploring and photographing the extraordinary beauty of the Hawaiian Islands.From powerful turquoise waves and tropical beaches to glowing volcanoes, waterfalls, and dramatic coastlines, Hawaii provided some of the most unforgettable experiences of my photography career.

Four Islands, Endless Inspiration
Each Hawaiian island offers something extraordinary. Kauai's towering Na Pali Coast, Maui's tropical beaches, Oahu's powerful North Shore waves, and the Big Island's volcanic landscapes have all inspired my photography over the years.Some of my favorite images were captured during unexpected moments when the light, ocean, and landscape came together perfectly.
That's what I love most about nature photography. No two moments are ever exactly alike.

A Lifelong Connection to Hawaii's Ocean and Waves
Of all the subjects I've photographed throughout Hawaii, the ocean has always been one of my favorites.There's something incredible about being in the water as powerful waves break around you. The colors, shapes, and movement change in an instant, creating beautiful scenes that last only a fraction of a second. Over the years, I've spent countless hours photographing Hawaiian shorebreak waves, capturing their incredible energy and natural beauty.
Many of those photographs have become some of my most popular fine art prints.

The Thrill of Photographing Hawaii's Active Volcanoes
Living on the Big Island also gave me the incredible opportunity to photograph one of nature's most powerful forces — flowing lava from Kilauea Volcano.
There's nothing quite like standing near molten lava as it moves across the landscape, watching the intense orange and red glow illuminate the darkness. From rivers of flowing lava to dramatic ocean entries, every eruption offered something completely different.
Over the years, I spent countless hours exploring and photographing volcanic activity, capturing moments that few people ever have the opportunity to witness.
Lava photography became one of my greatest passions, and those unforgettable experiences helped shape my career as a fine art nature photographer.

One of the most rewarding parts of my time in Hawaii was operating my Lava Light Galleries and meeting collectors from around the world.Many visitors wanted to take home something that reminded them of their experiences in the islands, whether it was a peaceful beach, a dramatic ocean wave, or a spectacular volcanic landscape.Today, I continue sharing those memories through my fine art photography.
